Carter Hodges, from Queens, New York, brings a solid 15-year track record in the world of fencing, competing nationally and internationally. His journey began at Manhattan Fencing Center at the age of six, and he has continued to excel under the guidance of Coach Nellya Stevostanova.

Carter’s notable achievements include:

Second place at the 2018 Manchester Cadet World Cup.
Consistent top-8 rankings in Junior and Senior North American Cups.
Multiple top-16 finishes in Cadet and Junior North American Cups.
First place at the 2019 Junior Men’s Foil Junior/Cadet Circuit in Anaheim, California.
Contribution to the 2023 Senior Men’s Foil Summer National Championship squad.
Participation in the 2021 Qatar Senior Men’s Foil Grand Prix.
Competing in the Men’s Foil World Cup in Bonn, Germany.
Achieving a top-32 finish in the Copenhagen Senior Men’s Foil Satellite World Cup.
Assisting as a coach at the 2023 Summer Nationals.

Carter’s coaching journey began at Ferox Athletics in Brooklyn, where he taught calisthenics and ninja warrior classes. He is excited to apply his coaching skills to his true passion, fencing, with the goal of nurturing the growth of his students and sharing his love for the sport.
