2. What equipment is needed for beginners?
If you’re just starting, you don’t need to bring anything; all beginner equipment is provided during intro classes and early lessons. Once you continue, you’ll need:
- Mask
- Jacket
- Glove
- Underarm protector (plastron)
- Chest protector (for females)
- Fencing pants (knickers) and long socks
- Fencing shoes or non-marking sneakers
- Weapon (foil, epee, or saber, depending on your class)
- Body cord (for electric fencing)
