Manhattan Fencing Club has two New Jersey locations—Englewood and Waldwick. The Waldwick center is just off Route 17 (Franklin Turnpike/County Route 507) right off the freeway. It makes it easy to reach from town as well as from nearby areas like Ridgewood, Alpine, Ho-ho-kus, Saddle River, Upper Saddle River, Glen rock and more. Equipped with 9 full-length electric strips, a welcoming viewing area, and ample parking, the Waldwick location is an ideal training ground for athletes pursuing fencing in New Jersey.

FENCING PROGRAMS OFFERED AT THIS LOCATION

 Mini Musketeer (Ages 4–6)

 Perfect for little adventurers, this class builds balance and focus

 while introducing early fencing techniques in a safe, encouraging setting.

 Youth (Ages 7–14)

 Introductory classes in fencing in NJ that teach young athletes core

 techniques and strategy while building focus, confidence, and sportsmanship.

 Teens (Ages 14–17)

 This program helps high school fencers refine advanced skills, enhance strategy, and

 gain the experience needed to excel in competitions. Participation also provides valuable

 achievements and leadership experiences that can strengthen college essays and applications.

 

 Adults (Ages 18+)

 Join our top fencing club in NJ for adult classes that develop

 technique, fitness, and strategy, whether you’re starting out or

 returning to the sport.

1. How do i get to your location?

2. Are there fencing camps in NJ?

Manhattan Fencing Center hosts seasonal fencing camps in NJ for students of all levels. Whether summer, winter, or holiday breaks, these camps combine focused training with fun to help athletes sharpen their skills.

3. What equipment is needed for beginners?

If you’re just starting, you don’t need to bring anything; all beginner equipment is provided during intro classes and early lessons. Once you continue, you’ll need:

  • Mask
  • Jacket
  • Glove
  • Underarm protector (plastron)
  • Chest protector (for females)
  • Fencing pants (knickers) and long socks
  • Fencing shoes or non-marking sneakers
  • Weapon (foil, epee, or saber, depending on your class)
  • Body cord (for electric fencing

All of this gear ensures safety and proper training as you progress in our fencing classes in New York.
